“Nothing crossed my mind, I wasn’t really thinking of anything. I was lost in the moment and the overwhelming sensation of love hit me and took over. I just enjoyed every step she took towards me with the biggest feeling of love I’ve ever known taken over me.” -James

The most special part of our wedding day was the half an hour before. Everyone was rushing around, checking on each other, lining up for the processional. One of the groomsmen came upstairs to drop something off and see how us ladies were doing and he gave me a hug and just started crying. I was good at keeping my shit together until then. I specifically remember hearing the pre-ceremony music playing, and I could hear James downstairs saying hello to everyone and just pacing. Just hearing his voice made me so excited. I remember screaming down that I loved him before everything started. Once he walked down the aisle I came down the stairs to line up and everyone of the GUYS, not the girls but the guys had tears as they were taking their turn down the aisle and that just spoke to me. I will never forget it. When the doors opened for me and my dad to walk down the aisle, I seriously felt my heart stop, and I just kept my eyes on James the whole time. He was my heart, just standing there looking back at me. -Amy

We could not be more thankful to have those who made the trip there. To know that those family and friends would travel so far, some all the way from the west coast, just to watch us celebrate our love really moved us. It made us realize that what we have isn't just visible to us, our loved ones can see it and feel it too and it just made the day THAT much more heart warming. It was a small group compared to some of the weddings people have these days but that's just what we loved about it. In a room, with 60 of your closest family and friends, it's just so intimate and it's a feeling you never forget. We wanted the day to capture us as a couple. Our favorite colors are red and purple, and to be honest at first it didn't sound like they would go together. After browsing through pinterest we knew that the color scheme we chose just fit us, our personality and everything in between. When we first visited Foxhall, it was a cold, rainy day, but the fire place was on in the main office and the smell and the feeling just felt like home. We knew immediately it was our venue and we just wanted to capture us, our love and a touch of elegance. We can both agree that our days went smoothly. You know when you're planning this major event in your life and you hear the stories of others experiences, it's almost like you're just waiting for something bad to happen. Nothing ever did. Even when it rained, it held off until right when the reception doors opened and it was all just perfect.
