The highlight of our wedding day for us had to be when it started raining. We had gone back to the house so I could change into my reception dress and then in one second we could hear the thundering of the rain on the rooftop. We stepped out onto the front porch and just stood there looking out at the rain coming down across the pasture. It was pouring and neither of us had any way to get back to the barn. We were stuck. That’s when Jackson pulled me into a hug and kissed me. That moment is so special to us because we were able to take it all in without any distractions. It was beautiful. - J&J

The moment I said “I Do” my heart was beating so fast. I felt like I was going to have a heart attack (but in a good way)! I could barely keep all my excitement contained and all I wanted to do was kiss Jackson. In my mind during that moment, I knew we were finally one and we’re going to stand beside each other throughout this life together. It is almost too much to wrap your mind around, and I was in complete awe of the fact that I got to be joined as one with such a beautiful soul as Jackson. - Jennifer Leigh

Jackson, what crossed your mind when you saw Jennifer Leigh walking down the aisle? 

 I feel like most men mention how beautiful they found their wife when she came down the aisle, and sure that was definitely one of the thoughts that crossed my mind, but in that moment my emotions were like a rainbow of thought. I was profoundly joyful, experiencing many feelings at once, and the main thought that stood out was how blessed, how thankful I felt to have Jennifer Leigh be my partner in life.

What was the most special part of your wedding day to you both?

The most special part for us would have to be how small and intimate it was. Yes, that was not always the original plan and due to COVID we had to change it from 150 guests to about 20. But now looking back, that made it so loving and special. We were able to take in and savor our wedding day more. We could talk to every single person that was there and have quality time with each other. It was low-key and relaxed. We were even able to have pictures taken with my dog and we will cherish those forever!! So, with it being so relaxing, everyone could enjoy themselves more in witnessing the love and unity of that day, because ultimately that is all that matters.

To my Wife,

Right before we first met, I had decided to stop searching for a woman to be in my life; I had decided to move on from the search and focus on my career, a position that would support my family, my children one day. And then, one night after church (you know how much I enjoyed talking with everyone until there was nobody left to talk to), I noticed you after a friend waved me over. How had I never noticed someone as physically beautiful as you when we both had been going there for some time? (I mean it was a small enough church to where I should’ve seen you right?) Well, it wasn’t our time until right  then in that moment. We both needed to be ready in our hearts. And although our relationship was serious (I mean we started dating 2 weeks after meeting), it was the most fun I ever had with someone. The first date was  completely natural, like old friends that hadn’t seen each other in many years, catching up on the years we had missed out on. After that first date, I knew I couldn’t be with anyone else; I knew I was about to graduate college and move for a job, but I wanted to be with you forever; I loved you (yeah, and I even said I love you first, which completely goes against all bro advice). But it was so important to say what I felt because it was true to my heart; I really cared about you in a way that was different than all other experiences. Even though it doesn’t seem possible, I’ve grown closer to you every day, through the ups and downs. And simply put, I’m  humbled to have such a kind hearted, gentle, caring, Christ loving wife, who challenges me every day to be a better man. I love you to the stars and back (is that a cliche way of phrasing it? Yeah, maybe).

To my wonderful Husband, 

I am so indescribably happy that I get to be your wife. There are so many cliches spoken about love...”I married my best friend”... “when you know you know”...”it’s like heaven on earth”, and now I understand each and every one of those sayings. Yes, they may be cliche, but it is because they are true. From our first date, I knew you were the one. I am so blessed and joyous to spend every moment with my best friend because it honestly is the closest thing to heaven on this earth. You are the most kind and tender hearted person that I have ever had the chance to meet, and I am forever grateful that not only did I meet you but that I am your wife. Thank you for your patience and your love. You will always be the man I admire the most. I love you dearly.
